Junk.com Makes Appearance at Pembroke Pines, FL Vehicle Expo

The Junk.com team serving Fort Lauderdale, FL spent the weekend embarking on family fun in one of the prominent communities they serve.

Joining fire engines, police cruisers, and heavy machinery, the Junk.com truck dazzled families at the City of Pembroke Pines’ Touch-a-Truck Vehicle Expo. City Center Way was a flurry of activity as children lined up for a chance to climb into the junk truck driver’s seat.

Eager kids honked the horn, posed for keepsake photos, and snatched up Junk.com’s signature squishy truck toys, a smash hit at Touch-a-Truck events across the nation.

“Our trucks usually roll out to haul away clutter,” said Nicole Turturici, CEO of Junk.com. “But here, our mission was to spark joy and curiosity. Seeing kids’ faces light up as they imagined driving one of our big trucks was the best part of the day.”

Junk.com Joins in on the Fun

The Vehicle Expo also featured entertaining giveaways from the City of Pembroke Pines. The first 100 kids to walk in got a commemorative Touch-a-Truck T-shirt, the first 300 kids snagged a Hot Wheels car, and the first 500 got a hard hat. Parents and kids both got a chance to shake hands with the community heroes who operate the city’s emergency and service vehicles.
